I paddled the 2022/23 Starboard Touring 14’x28″ for a year, and loved it.

I also used the Eisbach Riders Flexi River Fin and would also highly recommend it.

I bounced the ER down some serious rivers and never had one problem, but it also tracks well and has stability when you hit deeper water.

I still use the ER on my Airline, when needed. Money well spent.

unfortunately the SB river fin is a bit miss leading .. it’s really meant as a tiny centre fin for white water boards to aid with their tracking, as these boards had four little quad fins that didnt track due to you needing to be able to turn WW boards really quickly.

If you’d like a REALLY REALLY nice river fin that is small but tracks amazingly well, then check out the ER flexi river fin, i have a little video of it on here 🙂

with regards to the tail foil, in our SB video, i’m guessing having the foil lifts the tail out of the water slightly as you’re moving due to it being a foil?

The only other thing i can think of with the “more weight felt faster” is that the beautifully crafted nose of the SB would be in the water and cutting through, were as normally it sits just above it?

kind regards
